Interview Summary

Seldon Morton, a Kentucky farmer, begins the interview with a brief synopsis of his family history. Then, Morton recalls his childhood, including where he grew up, his siblings, and where his father worked. The various jobs that Morton himself had before farming full-time are also mentioned. Morton is asked about his garden and the variety of plants currently grown there, along with the gardens of his parents. Types of livestock residing on the farm are documented, as well as where the plants were purchased. Morton also talks of pests that invade the garden and strategies that he uses to prevent this. Additionally, the garden is described physically, and Morton highlights the logistics of maintaining the plants.
