Interview Summary
In this interview with former vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Sayyid Hamid, the interviewee begins with a brief synopsis of his biographical information. He then talks about his time in the Indian Civil Service (ICS) before moving on to discuss his childhood and family. Hamid then talks about the Pakistan movement as it relates to Aligarh Muslim University, as well as the time he spent there as a student. He also discusses the discrimination Muslims face in India, particularly as someone who worked for the Indian Civil Service. Next, Hamid talks about his decision to stay in India after partition, as well as important issues in educating Muslims.
