Interview Summary

Mickey Owen was born in Missouri. He was a catcher in Major League Baseball. This is an interview with former baseball player Mickey Owen, who played for such teams as the St. Louis Cardinals and the Brooklyn Dodgers. He also is well known for his participation in the Mexican League in the late 1940's. Topics in this interview include his time spent in Mexico, his dealings with Baseball Commissioner Happy Chandler to be reinstated after he returned to the United States, and his career after his reinstatement.
