Interview Summary

Bruce Cotton was born in Jonesville, Kentucky and Mary Blanton Cotton is from Henry County, Kentucky. In this interview, the Cottons talk about Bruce graduating from the University of Kentucky with a major in agriculture in 1952 and Mary Blanton and Bruce living on a farm in Northern Kentucky the first five and a half years of their marriage. The Cottons discuss moving to Lexington, Kentucky when Bruce became Vice President of External Affairs at Transylvania University. They also talk about Bruce working for Bill Terry and the Jerico for twenty-five years. The Cottons describe living in the Lansdowne Neighborhood since 1959 and their long time involvement with Lansdowne Neighborhood Association.
