Interview Summary

In this interview, Joanne Sawyer provides her life story. She describes her career, marriage, and parenting. Of particular interest are her accounts of being Dean of Admissions at Berea College and Transylvania University, and how she envisions the role of small liberal arts colleges. Ms. Sawyer also talks about the origin of her family, and how her two grandfathers were both involved in state politics.
