Interview Summary
Mr. May begins his interview giving his background information, and establishing how he first became acquainted with Governor Wetherby. He speaks of him campaigning to be the Commissioner of Agriculture, and recalls the names and information of those five men running for Lieutenant Governor in 1947. He remembers his response to hear that Governor Clements decided to successfully run for senate, the programs that were enacted during his t time as governor, and the election of 1955 with A.B. Chandler. May speaks of Wetherby after the leaving the office in 1955, the governor's favorite pastimes outside, and of his own favorite outdoor activities.Interview Accession
