Interview Summary

Charles Faulkner, a farmer living on Cane Creek, begins the interview by describing photographs of his family, who also lived around Cane Creek. Next, Faulkner's practice of renting out his farmland to tenants is explored. Faulkner also considers the current state of farming both on a personal level and the profession in general. Then, Faulkner's opinions on living in the country and the recent changes to Cane Creek are examined, as well as infrastructural upgrades to the community. A discussion of tobacco farming is undertaken, including its future globally, the impact of trends upon American tobacco farmers, and the problems associated with planting the crop. Finally, Cane Creek is talked about in general terms to end the interview.
