Interview Summary
Ball (House 1964-1968, 55th district; Republican) recalls his childhood in Henderson County (Ky.) in an area dominated by tobacco, his family's history of holding political office, his education at the University of Kentucky, early political involvement, and construction business. He proceeds to discuss his experiences as a legislator, including the racial issues at the local and national level, the influence of national politics, the role of the legislature, and his opinion of several governors.Interview Accession
