Interview Summary
This interview with Dr. Arthur Shriberg was conducted at Xavier University. Shriberg had been with Merton in India in 1968. They both attended the Conference of World Religions held in Calcutta. Merton was a distinguished, much-honored guest. Shriberg was a representative of American youth. Though limited in “deep Merton” knowledge, Shriberg’s memories of his interactions with Merton are valuable.Arthur Shriberg is Professor Emeritus, Management & Entrepreneurship and Downing Professor of Management at Xavier University. He is a well-known leadership and management consultant with degrees from Columbia University (Ed.D), Boston University (M.A.), Xavier University (MBA) and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.). He has served as Vice President and/or Dean at four universities, and assisted over fifty companies with various organizational challenges.
