Interview Summary
In this interview, Dale Barnstable discusses his military service in World War II in the United States Army, during which he fought in Europe through France and Germany, eventually liberating a Nazi concentration camp. He then describes how he was recruited to play basketball for the University of Kentucky under coach Adolph Rupp. He tells of how they won back to back national championships in 1948 and 1949. He then discusses his successful career after college working for American Air Filter.Interview Accession
