Interview Summary

Orlando Ramirez is a living history interpreter at Castillo de San Marcos in Saint Augustine, Florida who portrays a cabo and a soldado from the period of 1740. Ramirez gives third-person educational interpretations in Spanish musketry and artillery. He is also an expert in researching the history and geography of 18th century Spanish Florida as well as the material culture of weapons and uniforms that would have been used at the time.
