Interview Summary
Patrick Reed was the Superintendent of Mammoth Cave National Park (MCNP) at the time of this interview and had been in office since January 2006. Great Onyx Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (GOJCCC) had been in operation at MCNP since 1965, however up to the time of his appointment to MCNP, Reed had not had any Job Corps experience.This interview was conducted by Charles F. Riebe as part of an effort to document the experiences of various people who worked at Mammoth Cave National Park (MCNP) during the Job Corps program. This interview was also recorded by Amanda Fickey-Fields and Sarah Schmitt, Western kentucky University Department of Fok Studies and Anthropology. It was taped at Quality Inn, Cave City, Kentucky with sound and light enhancement by Ian Denny and Keith Price.
