Interview Summary

Charles F. Riebe was the first Center Director at Great Onyx Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (GOJCCC). As such, he was responsible for portions of the construction phase of the center and for all facets of the center operations under Office of Equal Opportunity Job Corps, United States Department of Interior (USDI), National Park Service (NPS) and Mammoth Cave National Park (MCNP) regulations and guidelines. Beverly A. Riebe is his wife.

This interview is the first of two conducted by Susan Schoch as part of an effort to document the experiences of various people whp worked in or were involved with the Job Corps program during the early years of the program, 1965-1968.
