Interview Summary
David Acheson, the son of Dean Acheson, begins the interview by detailing the friendship between his father and Cooper. Acheson also talks of his own acquaintance with Cooper. Acheson evaluates the effect of the Vietnam War on his father's friendship with Cooper. Acheson discusses his work at Covington & Burling in the late 1950s and early 1960s and how the law firm changed over the years. Acheson describes Cooper as a student at Yale.
