Interview Summary
Ayantu Hamid grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with a family that emphasized the importance of a good education. In 2010 she set out to follow her sister to the University of Kentucky to pursue her college education. In this interview, she talks about her experience as a Muslim woman on the University of Kentucky campus. Ayantu goes into detail about where she is from and the faith of Islam. She also touches on how to balance religious life with college life, such as fitting praying five times a day into a day full of classes.Interview Accession
