Interview Summary
Theige joined the Job Corps program with her husband, Kenneth Theige, at Great Onyx Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (GOJCCC) in Mammoth Cave National Park in April 1965. As a parent and wife of a center employee she was active and involved in the local communities and school activities. Her main contribution to the history of the early days of the Job Corps is her perspective and opinion on various aspects of the local communities and the business and personal relations between the Job Corps staff, the park staff, and the people of the local communities.Interview Accession
