Interview Summary

Hooper worked as a teacher and other assignments at Great Onyx Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (GOJCCC). Prior to joining the National Park Service as a ranger at Cape Hatteras National Sea Shore in 1961, he worked as a teacher for about seven years and was assigned to the Great Onyx Center in 1966. In addition to his teaching assignment, he served as a driver trainer, intake and orientation teacher, photographer, community representative and other duties as assigned.
