Interview Summary

Mayor George Evans lives in Tuckerton, New Jersey with his wife and son. He is involved in the Tuckerton Beach Association and is a member of the Masonic Lodge. Evans describes how he helped prepare the town for Hurricane Sandy. Evans also talks about difficulties resulting from the storm and the restlessness of the town during the aftermath.

Evans explains that Tuckerton was one of the more fortunate areas because their power was restored fairly early. Additionally, Evans compares the area to a "war zone". On another note, Evans discusses the reaction of both Governor Christie and President Obama toward the storm and the relief efforts made by both during the time of crisis.
