Interview Summary

Tandy discusses his career in public service, as well as how his childhood in Owensboro, Kentucky pointed his life in a political direction. He also discusses his college education at Vanderbilt University, including the summer internship he completed with Senator Wendell Ford in Washington, D.C., and his football career. Meeting his wife, having kids, and involving them in politics is also heavily discussed, as well as his opinions on women's roles in the civil rights movement and how he wants people to remember him in the future.
