Interview Summary
Robert Turner, a UK Libraries employee since 1964, discusses his career in the circulation department at UK Libraries, in particular his supervision of student workers and the layout of the Margaret I. King Library. He shares comments about previous library directors, including Lawrence Thompson, Paul Willis, and Stuart Forth, and anecdotes about campus unrest during 1970. He also talks about the logistics of the move from the Margaret I. King Library to W.T. Young LIbrary in 2007-2008, his international travel, and his view of the future of libraries.Interview Accession
