Interview Summary
Lillian Gentry was born in Madison COunty, Kentucky and moved to Lexington after graduting high school. In this interview she discusses her experiences living in teh Northside neighborhood, on both Eddie Street and Limestone Street. She talks about the nearby businesses and churches, as well as the entertainment that was available. She talks about growing up on her grandparent's farm in Kentucky, and the food they raised there. She discusses her children's experiences in both segregated and integrated schools. She talks about her neighbors, neighborhood community centers, and how Lexington has changed since she first moved there.Interview Accession
