Interview Summary
Lance LeRoy, longtime friend and manager of Lester Flatt, tells stories about the history of Bluegrass mainly revolving around Flatt's career. He talks about the development of the Bluegrass genre, which his says began when Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs joined Bill Monroe's band. He talks about several famous feuds in the Bluegrass industry: Charlie and Bill Monroe; Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, and Earl Scruggs; and Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs. He talks about the formation of Flatt and Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys and their career, including their work on "The Beverly Hillbillies" television program. He talks about the formation of Lester Flatt and the Nashville Grass, and Flatt's contributions to Bluegrass and the world.Interview Accession
