Interview Summary

Justin Fenicle begins by describing his childhood growing up in Downingtown, Pennsylvania and his family. After he shared his background, he goes on to talk about his experiences in school with a special focus on a group he joined in high school called Link. Link was a club that focuses on the mental health of high school students. He then went on to explain how this club influenced his decision to become a teacher and how he chose West Chester University. From there, Justin discussed many aspects of the COVID19 pandemic and how it affected him personally as a college student. Justin shared a story about how he lost his grandmother to the virus and his views on the different mandates the university enacted to protect students. Finally, Justin explained his experience learning about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and how he feels about the future.
