Interview Summary

David Parish became the mayor of Madisonville, Kentucky in 1946. Throughout his political career he served under seven different governors of the state of Kentucky: Simeon S. Willis, Earle Clements, Happy Chandler, Bert Combs, Ned Breathitt, Lawrence Wetherby, and Louis Nunn. In this interview, he talks about his relationship with Earle C. Clements, their work together in politics, and his impressions of Clements as a politician.
