Interview Summary
Boone talks about growing up in Evanston and working for various newspapers before moving to Elizabethtown (Ky.). She talks about her various social service projects, such as integrating restaurants in her city, serving in the League of Women Voters, and working with disadvantaged students. She discusses her books of poetry and talks about her writing process. She also talks about the various roles and positions she has had, including the being the editor of the first literary magazine of Kentucky, called "Approaches," and founding the Robert Warren Penn Center at the Western Kentucky University.Interview Accession
