Interview Summary
Lucille Smith talks about her life and artistic career in Etowah, Tennessee. She begins with her grandparents who were the first to move to the area. Smith explains her large family and how each of them married. Next, she goes into her art career and what inspires her. Smith explains that all of her paintings are based on childhood memories. Childhood locations like water mills and cabins can be found in Smith's paintings. Smith finishes by talking about her artistic process and how she prefers to take time on her paintings.Interview Accession
