Interview Summary
Dosier discusses her background growing up in southern Florida. She talks about her move to Kentucky, her impression of Kentucky after moving, and especially her impression of the artists. She notes her efforts to improve the state of the arts in her community during her first years in the state. She talks about her intentions when she first moved into town to establish festivals and fairs. Dosier discusses how she came to acquire the Painted Cow Gallery and began using it as a gallery. She talks about helping new artists find the appropriate value of their work. She talks about the income level of visitors to the gallery and the region at large. Dosier discusses the lack of interest in the Kentucky Craft Marketing program. She discusses the impact of mountaintop removal on the creation of art in the region.Interview Accession
