Interview Summary
This is a second interview with Bertha Kretzer. Mrs. Kretzer reads a five-page account of her life. She remembers her father who she loved dearly, and describes his death. She explains how her mother kept the family going by taking in boarders and washing. Kretzer recalls how little she knew about the menstrual cycle and about childbirth as a teenager.
