Interview Summary

Paul Winther (India, 1961-1963; Business Program) includes in his interview thoughtful points about the pros and cons of being in the first group in a country and issues about early Peace Corps programming, as well as the role of Peace Corps today. He is reflective about both culture shock and reverse culture shock and describes his rethinking of his original career choice as a naval pilot. He also describes his graduate work and dissertation research in India, and discusses his life and educational background both before and after joining the Peace Corps.
