Interview Summary

This interview with music producer Howard Scott begins with a discussion on music editing. It then moves on to discuss the salaries of an A&R person in the 1960s. Scott discusses his training as an audio engineer and his collaborations with other audio engineers. He talks about his first recording experiences and the advent of tape recording. Scott then discusses his experiences recording on location and the various musicians with whom he worked. Scott talks about audio engineer Leroy Friedman and his collaboration with various artists, such as Leonard Bernstein.
