Interview Summary

Rodney Collins, Jr. is the son of the Great Onyx Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (GOJCCC) Administration Office manager, Rodney Collins, Sr. Collins, Jr., was 15 years old when his father joined the Job Corps at Mammoth Cave National Park. He lived with his parents in government furnished housing near the center and went to school in Cave City, Kentucky. Collins, Jr. offers a unique perspective on the center as a child of center staff growing up in a national park with close contact to Job Corps center corpsmen and attending the local school.
