Interview Summary
Lewis reflects upon his friendship with Robert Penn Warren, whom he met during their tenures as professors at Yale University. The early days of their acquaintance are recalled, as well as more recent social gatherings. Lewis classifies Warren as a Southern American writer and is praised by Lewis for his literary versatility. Warren is then compared to other notable American writers of the past.
