Interview Summary

Governor Wetherby comments on his relationship with the Kentucky Press Corps during his time as governor, and how that relationship helped progress his administrative goals during his term. He recalls what his usually day at the office was like and his usual routine. Wetherby introduces and discusses the responsibilities of his day-to-day staff, and his relationship with them. He briefly addresses his relationship with the Catholic leaders and then tells his thoughts about natural resources and environmental protection and pollution. Also, Wetherby discusses his support for dam construction during his administration, as seen with his work on the Cumberland River and the Kentucky Dam Village area. Governor Wetherby explains his means of media during his time in office, since radio was still popular and televisions were just being introduced, and how the evolution in media has changed the way we elect our officials
