Interview Summary
Mitchell L. H. Douglas talks about his upbringing in a family full of artists and the different genres his art has taken, which includes music, filmmaking, and writing. He names many movements and writers who have influenced him. He also talks about how he contributed to the beginnings of the Affrilachian Poets. He talks about his past and future writing projects and how his sense of home has changed as he has spent more time in Indiana and less time in Kentucky. Finally, he talks about his legacy, which he says includes his students in addition to his poetry.Interview Accession
