Interview with Erin Lynne Chandler, April 12, 2025
Project: Distilling Careers in Writing Oral History Project
Interview Summary
Erin Chandler details her early childhood, playing among the vines and the back-stage of Vegas shows. She credits watching these performances to her early love of theater, which continues to this day. She received a degree in Theater and pursued acting in LA, even dabbling in writing plays and screenplays until a rare auto-immune disease forced her to switch professions, from acting to writing. She tells a powerful story of coping with this illness and finding new ways to live out her passions through lively and detailed tales of her life. She speaks passionately and openly about returning to school at the age of 50 to continue her education. She opened her own publishing company, Rabbit House Press, in 2015 and proudly uplifts authors that struggle to be published in the current publishing industry, including queer authors. Her future plans are to expand Rabbit House Press and hopefully bring in more authors and designers that are passionate about their artInterview Accession
