Interview Summary
Governor Wetherby recalls and gives his impression on several individuals who he came in contact with during his time years as governor. These people include: Bob Bell, Bert Combs, Louie Nunn, Wendell Ford, Earle Clements, Emerson "Doc" Beauchamp, Wendell Butler, Paul "Bear" Bryant, Henry Ward, Thelma Stovall, Lennie McLaughlin, Thurston Morton, John Sherman Cooper, Carl Perkins, William Natcher, Wilson Wyatt, Charlie Farnsley, Barry Bingham, Sr., and Ed Prichard. In closing, Governor Wetherby answers the question "The Most Unforgettable person I Ever Knew" as posed in a recent Reader's Digest magazine. Other topics discussed includes sales tax, whether the state government should be reorganized, women in politics, University of Kentucky athletics, the reconstruction of Morehead University, The Courier-Journal, and factions within the Kentucky Democratic Party.Interview Accession
