Interview Summary

In this interview, Judith Moffett begins the interview by reciting a James Merrill poem. She then discusses returning to Sweden with a Fulbright travel grant to conduct research and translate poetry resulting in the publication of "Gentleman, Single, Refined and Selected Poems, 1937-1959. Moffett also talks about the writing of, what she refers to, as her "most successful poem," "Cecropia Terzine" (from "Keeping Time"). In addition, she describes researching a critical work about James Merrill.
