Project Summary

This collection focuses specifically on the experiences of African American women in Kentucky. Interviewees discuss their family, childhood, friends, and experiences in college. Specifically discussed is the integration of African Americans into traditionally all white schools, as well as student-faculty interaction at the University of Kentucky during the mid-1960s.
