Interview Summary

Margaret Plarr, an exercise rider and horse owner discusses her lifelong interest in horses and her start in the industry as a hot walker at Keeneland while she was a student at UK. Plarr shares stories about breaking yearlings and riding for numerous farms in Central Kentucky. She also talks about breeding and owning horses and having success at the racetrack. Discrimination toward women in the horse industry is also discussed.
