Interview Summary

Lewis recalls being sent to the Industrial Home at a young age, along with her siblings, when their mother died. She recalls common forms of discipline, abusive forms of punishment, and being a 'troublemaker' as a child. She talks about illnesses, medical care, holidays, religious education, and how the children were perceived by the community.
