Miller discusses her work on the Lexington-Fayette County Urban County Council from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s, including developing the Kentucky Agricultural Marketing Cooperative; her relationship with Scotty Baesler; reflections on and approaches to development; budget and economics; the environment; and the role of women in local government. She also talks about the first months of her first mayoral term.
