Project: The Charles F. Riebe Great Onyx Job Corps Conservation Center Oral History Project

Interview Summary

Duvall was born and raised in the area, was employed as a teacher at Caverna, Kentucky school system and was employed at Mammoth Cave National Park as a cave guide when Great Onyx Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center (GOJCCC) started and in operation. Hafford "Hal" Garland worked at the Job Corps center during this time in various roles in the administrative program and was familiar with the major aspects of the program.

This interview was conducted while visiting the self-guiding cave trail at Mammoth Cave National Park.
