Interview Summary
[Note: Fluctuations in audio occur throughout the interview, however the interview is still decipherable.]Anna Louise Lanon Johnson talks about her family background and childhood in Paris, Kentucky. She talks about her education at segregated Paris Western High School, and her close relationship with the principal which led to her undergraduate education at Spelman College. Johnson also attended graduate school at Ohio State University and Iowa State University before enrolling at the University of Kentucky. She describes her experiences with race relations at UK, including her positive interactions with people from Eastern Kentucky. She talks about UK administrators and faculty. She talks about her career as a home economics teacher in Paris, Kentucky after her graduation.
