Project Summary

This is a series of interviews with Thomas W. Lewis, a seventh-generation Kentuckian and 1971 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Engineering with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1973. Lewis went on to have a successful career in real estate development and, in 2001, with his wife, Jan, formed T.W. Lewis Foundation to support higher education, children and families in need, youth education and a variety of community nonprofit organizations, including a 2015 gift to the University of Kentucky that established the Lewis Honors College.
