Interview Summary
Debra Wekstein and Elaine Cohen Silver both joined Camp Shalom as campers in the late 1960s or early 1970s. They describe the various locations of Camp Shalom during their time, including a farm in Paris, Kentucky and Jacobson Park. Wekstein and Silver describe their memories of Camp Shalom. They talk about the rites of passage of being allowed in the top tier of the tree house and being allowed in the farmhouse. They talk about activities like making God's eyes, cooking camp stew, and eating watermelon.Interview Accession
