Interview Summary

Glenn Kleier describes his childhood and education in Louisville, Kentucky. He talks about his career in the advertising industry and how he began writing. He discusses his novel, "The Last Day," which had recently been published at the time of this interview, including the reviews of the book in relation to the religious beliefs and messages promoted within the novel. Kleier discusses the idea that his book has been an "overnight success," despite the whole process taking much longer than people realize. He talks about learning to deal with publicity. He discusses some of his non-writing work, including his involvement with the Children First organization, as well as Ross Perot's presidential campaign.
