Interview Summary
Ruth McLain Smith discusses her role in the McLain Family band and the experiences she's had growing up surrounded by musicians. Smith goes into great detail about growing up in Hindman, Kentucky, various family members and their participation in the band, the development of bluegrass music, and the different television shows the McLain Family Band featured on.
