Interview Summary
Mr. Humphrey was born in Lexington, KY and attended Picadome Elementary School and Lafayette High School (LHS) (grades 7-12). He also attended the University of Kentucky. At Lafayette High, he was a member of the LHS band/orchestra (1943), the first LHS football team in 1946-47, and the National Honor Society. During his time at UK, he majored in engineering (interrupted by the US Army Corps of Engineers service in the early 1950's) and followed it with a career in four states as an engineer. He is also a Christian, a scholar, a musician, an athlete, an outdoors-man, a volunteer, and an author of several writings.Interview Accession
