Interview Summary
Shaheen Ali discusses her experience as an immigrant from Pakistan to Lexington, Kentucky. Ali describes her lifestyle and work as a housewife, her childhood in Pakistan, her education in statistics and accounting, her husband's job as a physician, and their day-to-day family dynamics. Beyond that, Ali talks about her participation in kitty parties, a social banking practice from South Asia, the Desi immigrant population and community in Lexington, and the difference in economic situations between her homeland and the United States.Interview Accession
