Interview Summary
Ruth Straus was born in Canada, and immigrated to the U.S. with her Canadian father and American mother at the age of three. At the time of interview, Ruth was 99 years old. Her mother was a member of the League of Women Voters in the 1920s. Her young adulthood was spent in Connecticut. When she moved to Kentucky in the 50s, she began teaching and joined the Lexington League of Women Voters and is a longtime member.Interview Accession
